Patriot or Racist “Welfare Queen” Cowboy

Thursday, April 24th, 2014

Rancher, “patriot” and celebrated welfare cowboy right wing-nut loon Cliven Bundy was exposed when he said this on Saturday: “I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” describing a “government house” in Las Vegas where he recalled that all the people who sat outside seemed to “have nothing to do. They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”…

Nevada – That stampeding sound you hear is not Bundy’s livestock roaming public lands and feeding on the taxpayer’s dime. It’s his Republican supporters like Rand Paul (KY) backtracking as fast as he can to distance himself from Cliven Bundy, a Nevada cattle rancher, hero in the conservative blogosphere, fixation of Fox News and a racists welfare queen.

Bundy has been stealing from the tax payers for 20 years. Conservatives cried about heavy-handed federal bureaucrats, seizing Bundy’s cattle. They were disappointed the feds backed down after being confronted by wing-nut cowboys on horseback who were armed to the teeth and hiding behind their children. They even had snipers aiming at the federal agents.

Bundy is falsely painted as a man being harassed by the federal government. The wing-nut blogosphere wants sympathy for rancher Bundy. But in reality, he is a common criminal who needs to be in jail for theft.

Bundy is nothing more than a freeloader and it is comical that conservatives would support this welfare queen. He took subsidies from U.S. taxpayers and now refuses to pay the $1.2 million he owes for using tax payer owned land.

What is more amazing is that Fox News commentators have prayed and begged for violence. It is shocking to watch the great deceiver of “lies” conservative Fox news promote violence. Once again the liars of Fox news leads its [sheep] viewers astray.

Bundy is one of a growing group of anti-government lawbreakers who needs to be arrested, tried and incarcerated for his crimes. He deserves no one’s sympathy. .

A Greed Driven Budget or April Fool’s Joke?

Tuesday, April 1st, 2014

WASHINGTON — Todays unveiling of Paul Ryan’s newest Republican budget exposed what Republicans will do if they gain complete control of Congress. His greed driven budget will allow the rick to harvest a windfall of tax cuts while the poor and middle class would be burdened with the painful costs. This budget will also allow Democrats to broaden the political difference between the two parties beyond health care, minimum wage and unemployment benefits.

Ryan laid out a budget plan that slashes $5 trillion in spending over the next decade on the backs of the poor and middle class. He falsely claims he would bring federal spending and taxes into balance by 2024, through drastic cuts to Medicaid and food stamps, and the total repeal of the Affordable Care Act just as millions are reaping the benefits of the law.

Domestic programs would be reduced to the lowest levels since modern government accounting while defense spending would increase. Medicare would be converted into a “premium support” system, where people 65 and older could purchase private insurance with small federal subsidies instead of government-paid health care. Subsidies in truth could not pay for health care of these people.

“We need to be a proposition party, not just an opposition party,” said Ryan, Republican of Wisconsin. “We believe we owe it to the [rich] country to offer an alternative to the status quo. It’s just that simple.”

Even with those tough political choices, the budget would balance in 2024 only because Ryan is assuming his cuts would prompt a burst of economic growth to raise tax revenues above what independent economists forecast. Back to trickle-down economics. He also does not adjust the government’s revenue ledger to reflect the cost of repealing the health care law’s tax increases and Medicare cuts, which could add an additional $2 trillion.

The Ryan budget will be formally drafted on Wednesday in the Budget Committee and brought to a House vote on Friday — if Republican leaders can find 217 votes to pass it over the concerns of moderates who say it goes too far and conservatives who say it does not go far enough.

Regardless of the vote, the budget will be front and center in the coming campaigns.

Paul Ryan’s budget is close to the heart of core Republican values and beliefs: Deliver Wealth to the wealthy, Power to the powerful, and suffering to everyone else…

In all, Ryan said, spending would be cut by $5.1 trillion over the next decade. More than $2 trillion of that would come from repealing Mr. Obama’s health care initiative, the Affordable Care Act, a political move that may be much more difficult now that more than 10 million Americans have gotten health insurance through the law, either through private policies purchased on insurance exchanges, through expanded Medicaid or private policies purchased through brokers but subsidized by the law.

Such an [Ann Rand] approach “empowers recipients to get off the aid rolls and back on the payrolls,” Mr. Ryan wrote. More importantly, it stuffs money in the pockets of the rich and powerful.

The toughest cuts would come from domestic programs that have already been reduced steadily to rubble, since 2011, when Republicans took control of the House. Nor did Ryan shy away from hot-button issues.

Education funding would be cut by $145 billion over 10 years. Pell grants for college students would lose $90 billion. University students would start being charged interest on their loans while still in school, reaping $40 billion.

Under the greed driven world of Republicans, Federal subsidies for the National Endowments for the Arts and Humanities, as well as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting “can no longer be justified,” Ryan said.

Not even big bird and Sesame Street will be spared the pain of Ryan’s cuts. The arts, in addition to public television, will be wiped off the face of the earth.

Obamacare Exceeds Goal: 8 Million Sign Up

Tuesday, April 1st, 2014

obamacare_400_360_360Open enrollment for Obamacare ended last night at midnight. The 7 million target was exceeded on the last day to sign up for ObamaCare.

President Obama confirmed that 8 million had signed up by mid April.

Seven million was the original target set by the Congressional Budget Office for enrollment in taxpayer-subsidized private health insurance through new online markets created under President Obama’s signature legislation.

Early website problems made that target appear unattainable.

During the last week of open enrollment, a technical glitch was preventing people from filing new applications. A tech team, though, was brought in and resolved the issue.

The website, which was receiving 1.5 million visitors a day last week, had recorded about 2 million through 3 p.m. EDT. Call centers have more than 840,000 calls.

The White House said that more than 6 million Americans have signed up for private insurance plans since October 1 through the federal and state ObamaCare exchanges — a major accomplishment toward the White House’s goal of 7 million enrollees by March 31, considering the disastrous start.

Although open enrollment ended at midnight, the White House announced that Americans who have unsuccessfully tried to enroll by March 31 now have until mid-April to complete registration.

The White House and other supporters of the law were hoping for an enrollment surge that would confound skeptics and they got what they hoped for but some skeptics refuse to admit they were wrong.

House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio said Monday that Republicans remain committed to repealing ObamaCare. The congress has voted [unsuccessfully] over fifty times to appeal Obamacare.
